For the second edition of Vatsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League (EWV), TikTok has been roped in as the official entertainment partner.
The organizer Infinity Dreams released a statement on Thursday saying that TikTok has become the official entertainment partner of the league. The second Everest Women's Volleyball League will be held from August 20 to 28.
The organizers believe that this partnership will be a transformative chapter for Nepal's national games.
"The world's famous short video platform Tiktok is now entering the volleyball court with the aim of internationalizing the Vatsalya EWV League, national spirit, empowering women players and spreading cultural importance," the statement said.
Tiktok South Asia Content Operations Head Umais Navid said that Tiktok is very excited to collaborate with Watsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League.
He said that he saw this as a historic opportunity to celebrate the Nepali national game as a celebration, support women's empowerment and take Nepali volleyball to the international stage.
Everest Women's Volleyball League CEO Snevi Chapagain said it was a game changer partnership. The auction of players for the second edition of the league has also been done. Nepal Volleyball Association's Acceptance League is about to happen.
