Nepal's disappointing draw with Bhutan

Nepal played a disappointing 1-1 draw against Bhutan in the U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers on Wednesday.

Both goals of the match at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu were scored in the first half. With this result, both teams remained on one point.

In Group A, three-time world champion and two-time Asian champion North Korea is at the top. He defeated Saudi Arabia 15-0 in the first match on Wednesday. North Korea has three points while Saudi Arabia has zero points.

In the second game of the day, Nefal took the lead in 40 seconds. Senu Pariyar scored a goal for Nepal using a cross given by Sukriya Mia. Bhutan equalized in the 18th minute and it went to Kelden Wangmo.

Nepal had easily won two matches against Bhutan in the U-20 Women's SAFF Championship held in Bangladesh a few weeks ago. In the first match, Nepal won by 6-1 and in the second match, they won by 8-0. Nepal could not repeat the same performance against Bhutan this time.
