Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) has honored Bhim Bahadur Tamang and Sushmita Thapa Magar with the Best Player of the Year Award-2081. Bheem in men and Sushmita in women received cash prizes along with best player of the year award.
Bhim won 3 gold medals in the 24th National ITF Taekwondo. Sushmita won 2 golds in the same competition. In its 28th anniversary, the federation honored the best coach of the year along with the player of the year, state association and district association. Akashchandra Gharti Magar was chosen as the coach, Gandaki as the state association and Gulmi as the best in the district association.
On the same occasion, Kishore Shrestha and Rajmandir Shrestha, the gold winners of the 10th Asian ITF Taekwondo Tournament held in India from August 19 to 26, and Chandra Bahadur Tamang, the silver winner, were also honored.
They were honored by National Sports Council (Rakhep) Vice President Dhruv Acharya, Rakhep member Anjan Dhamala, ITF President Praveen Kumar Karki, General Secretary Gham Bahadur Thapa and others.
