The famous representative of Kathmandu District and Bagmati Province played an important role in making Nepal the champion in the ACC U-16 Eastern Zone Cup. He scored 246 runs with one century and one half-century in 6 matches of the tournament.
Women's cricket team player Krishma Gurung, ICC umpire Vijaykumar Jha, Durganath Subedi and head coach Samsanjung Thapa were also honoured. Famous and Krishma both received Rs 5,000 each.
They were honored by Bagmati Province assembly member Dipendra Shrestha, Kathmandu District Cricket Association President Diwakar Ghale, Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka and others.
President Ghale said that he managed to organize half a dozen programs this year. The Association organized Prime Minister Cup Men Qualifiers, Prime Minister Cup Women Qualifiers, U-19 Men Qualifiers, 2nd Jayakumar Nath Shah Memorial Inter Vidyalaya Cricket (ACC U-16 East Zone Cup Qualifiers), ICC U-19 Women's World Cup and Asia Cup Qualifiers and 'O' Level Umpire and Coach Course.
