For the award to be held on August 29, an agreement was signed between the organizer Nepal Sports Journalist Forum and Pokhara metropolis on Wednesday. Niranjan Adhikari, president of the platform and Dhanraj Acharya, the head of the metropolis, have signed the agreement for promotion. The prestigious award of Nepali sports will be held in Pokhara for the first time, the forum said.
Acharya said that the metropolitan city will provide financial and moral support to the awards to be held at the Pokhara Event Center on the occasion of Pokhara Visit Year 2025. He expressed his belief that Pokhara's dignity and scope of sports will be further strengthened when the prestigious award of sports is organized in the environment where Pokhara is becoming a city worthy of major international events.
Mayor Acharya said that they are engaged in the campaign to make Pokhara the capital of sports tourism. Niranjan Adhikari, president of
platform, said that it is very challenging to hold the sports award ceremony outside Kathmandu and said that he is ready to accept the challenge along with Pokhara metropolis. NSJF Pulsar Sports Award is also an event included in the regular calendar of the International Federation of Sports Journalists (AIPS) and the Asian Federation of Sports Journalists (AIPS Asia).
