Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has announced that the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards will be held outside the capital.

The 22nd edition of the Pulsar Sports Award, which has been held continuously since 2060, will be held in Pokhara on August 29. Niranjan Adhikari, President of the forum, said that the award is going to be held in Pokhara, the capital of tourism, with the aim of spreading the sports award nationwide at the program held in the capital on Friday. He claimed that the aim is to take the award to the whole country as the scope of Nepali sports is expanding. Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Youth Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, People's Choice Award, Para Athlete Award, Special Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, There will be Asian Sports Journalist and Team of the Year Award categories . All winners will be announced on the award day. General Secretary Khadka said that nominations for the People's Choice category will be announced in a few days as it will be done through voting. AIPS Asia Treasurer Niranjan Rajwanshi said that it is rare for any organization to organize the same event continuously for 22 years and collaborate with the same sponsor for 17 years . Last year's winners

Rohit Paudel of cricket for men, Erica Gurung of karate for women, Hemant Pal of weightlifting for youth and Kushal Shrestha of karate for coaches won the award. Volleyball's Kavita Bhatt won the People's Choice Award by getting the most votes.

Volleyball coach Kumar Rai from Special Award, Para Olympic bronze medalist Palesha Govardhan from Para Athlete Award, Hee Dong Jong from South Korea from Asian Sports Journalist Award and Lifetime Achievement Vinayraj Pandey, the former president of the Nepal Cricket Association, was honored with the award.
