Kathmandu Gorkhaz, which carries the message 'Ayo Gorkhali', has changed its name and logo. The franchise team of Nepal Premier League (NPL) has announced a change in the managerial side ahead of season 2.

In the first season last year, the team played under the name of Kathmandu Gurkhaz .

Gorkhaz, which is owned by Kathmandu Sports Development Venture, has also changed its logo . Gorkhaz Executive Director Anubhav Swar Sirohia, Chief Executive Officer Surajsingh Thakuri and marquee player and captain Karan KC announced the new logo  was unveiled .

The previous logo had a picture of batting . The historical heritage of the valley is included in the new logo. Chief Executive Officer Thakuri said that since cricket will be played on the ground, Gorkhaz will move forward even though its heritage is concentrated. He said that when NPL season 2 is about to come, people are looking for change and this change is not a change but a need now.
