The Asian Football Federation (AFC) honored Nepali doctor Raju Dangol Maharjan with a silver medal on Thursday.
He was awarded the 'AFC Distinguished Service Award - Silver' on the occasion of the 8th AFC Medical Conference being organized in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dangol, who is associated with Nepali football, has been honored for his service in the medical field related to this game for more than two decades. He has participated in various medical training related to football organized by AFC and has been an expert doctor in Nepali football.
Earlier, AFC has also honored another doctor from Nepal, Ajay Rana. Dangol is the second Nepali doctor to receive such an honor.
