Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) and Kuwait Cricket Board have reached an agreement in principle to organize a bilateral cricket series for both men and women. According to CAN, this agreement will be effective from 2026.
According to the agreement, at least three Twenty20 and additional 50 over matches will be played on a 'home and away' basis every year. Nepal and Kuwait are in the same group in the Asia and Asia-Pacific qualifiers for the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in Oman in October. Can and the Kuwait Cricket Board understand that this is the right time for this partnership.
Can believes that this strategic collaboration will be a major step towards increasing international exposure and promoting competitive cricket among the region's associate nations. It has become a milestone for the promotion and development of cricket in Asia.
Nepal has already presented its talent by playing the ICC Men's Twenty-20 World Cup in America and West Indies last year.
