Member-Secretary of National Sports Council (Rakhep) Tanklal Ghising has said that Mission-2026 is a plan to make the nation happy.
Addressing a meeting held at the international sports complex in Satdobato in the presence of officials and head coaches of 10 sports associations who participated in the special training of national team preparation under Mission-2026 last season, he said, "Mission-2026 is a plan to make the country happy. This is the plan to win a double digit medal including gold at the 20th Asian Games in Japan.'
He reminded that he would have been a former member secretary by the time the Asiad was held, and said, 'It doesn't matter . However, players should have the opportunity of continuous training, only then the players can win medals.
He said that the related sports association will play an equally important role in making this plan successful. He said, "There are only 13 months left for the Asian Games." Please submit a clear and concrete plan of action within a week as to when and what to do during this period.
He emphasized that the association should expand the international scope for the training of players and pointed out the need to cooperate with other countries, their respective international federations and embassies.
Member-Secretary Ghising urged not to worry that there is currently only 27 million for Mission-26 and promised to take serious initiatives for the budget if there is a solid plan from the associations.
He expressed the expectation that the establishment of Nepal Hyperperformance Center and Sports Science Research Center will significantly improve the ability of the players.
The director of national team preparation, Deepak Bisht, said that the meeting was held to take suggestions on how the training can be carried forward in a more powerful and effective manner. He informed that the training will resume after the fitness test of the players.
The representative of the participating sports association and the head coach discussed about the sports content, events, exposure, sports venue, player quota, arrangement of foreign coaches or foreign training, increase in facilities, dosage, arrangement of spiring partner.
In the Asian Games to be held in Japan, with the goal of winning a double digit medal including gold, Rakhep A.A. From 2080/81, special training for national team preparation was started under Mission-2026 . It is the first time in the history of Nepali sports that a long-term preparation has been started for any Asian sports or international competition. 99 players of 10 different sports including Para Taekwondo and 121 people including 22 coaches were kept in special training with facilities.
