Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ikiteke on Monday. According to the news, his transfer fee is 92 million dollars.

Premier League champions Liverpool have turned their attention to Ikitike after Newcastle refused to sell Swedish striker Alexander Isak. Liverpool made an offer to Newcastle with a price of 120 million for Isaac, but after Newcastle set his price at around 150 million, Liverpool looked at Isaac's option.

Newcastle and Manchester United have also shown interest in one of Europe's biggest young talents. But in the end, Liverpool won. After Liverpool made an offer for Issac, Newcastle also kept Ekitike as an option should their main striker move. But after Newcastle's decision not to sell Isaac, Liverpool's first choice was Ekiti.

Liverpool will have to spend another 10 million pounds for the 23-year-old Ikitike of France. If he plays well and Liverpool succeed, Ikitike's transfer fee will increase. Liverpool are currently in Asia for pre-season. If Ikitike's transfer is completed, he will also travel to Asia to join Liverpool's squad. It is likely that he will complete the process of becoming an official Liverpool player by Tuesday.

Ikitike scored 22 goals in a total of 48 games for Frankfurt last season. Last season, he scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 matches in the Bundesliga. Ekitike and Omar Marmous were the striker duo in the first half of last season when Frankfurt played in a 3-5-2 formation. Marmouse moved to Manchester City in January for £63m. He joined the Bundesliga side from Paris Saint-Germain. Frankfurt kept Ekitike on the bench for their preseason friendly against FSV Frankfurt on Saturday. Dino Topmöller, the coach of Frankfurt, said that it would be a big loss if Ekitike were to lose.

Liverpool forward Diego Jota died in a car accident in Spain last month. Liverpool were eyeing another striker to replace him. Liverpool are keen to sell Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez. Nunez is likely to move to Italian side Napoli. Likewise, Liverpool has rejected the two-time offer of Colombian forward Luis Diaz by Bayern Munich.

Liverpool have already brought in German playmakers Florian Wirtz and Jeremy Frimpong from Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen and Milos Kerkes from another Premier League team, Bournemouth. Liverpool brought in Frimpong to take his place after Trent Alexander-Arnold left for Real Madrid, while Kerkage is an alternative to left-back Andy Robertson.

Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardasvili has also been included in Liverpool's squad. Liverpool signed him last year but sent him on loan to Valencia.
