Asian Games silver winning karate player Erika Gurung and National Women's Football Team goalkeeper Anjana Ranamar were honored with cash in Bhaktapur Madhyapur on Tuesday.
Erica, who won bronze in Karate One Premier League, gold in Thailand Open and US Open and silver in Asian Championship, and football star Anjana were honored with Rs 25,000 cash by Madhyapur-based Inner Wheel Club. For their significant contribution to Nepali sports, Dr. Srishti was awarded the best female player. Founder of
club and Vice President of Inner Wheel District 350 Dr. Srishti Shrestha Prajapati said that it is a matter of her pride to respect women's participation and success in sports while honoring athletes.
