In the 5th Triyoga inter-school chess competition held on Monday, Precious Adhikari of Mankamanaki won the class 8 to 10 girls' category and Oscar Pant of Pathshala won the boys' category.
Kristi Rizal of Marvelous stood second and Pragya Pant of DAV stood third in the girl category. Among the students, Sparnman Shrestha from Pushpabatika came second and Savid Prajapati from Mritabhoomi came third.
About 400 students from 60 schools participated in the competition organized by Triyog High School in the Swiss league system. Out of a total of 8 competitions, Euro School from class 1 to 3, Annapurna School for class 4 and 5, Nisharga Batika for class 6 and 7 and Manakamana School for class 8 to 10 were the winners.
Rubesri Choulagain and Adrisi Bhattarai of Euro and Rihana Shrestha of Annapurna and Sunab Ojha of Kathmandu Gurukul, Shubhang Pradhan of Rato Bangla and Kavinsingh Rawat of NIST won the top three positions in class 1 to 3 female students. Glossy Shrestha of Future Star, Agarta Acharya of IWS and Tristina Basnet of Annapurna in class 4 and 5 female students and Sahash Shrestha of Machhapuchhre, Mandip Alemgar of Deep Jyoti and Ankur Pokharel of Lab School stood first, second and third respectively.
In girls 6 and 7, Nihana Shrestha of Marvelous came first, Sriyasi Tuladhar of Triyog came second and Ujbhani Kanel of Vishwa Niketan came third. For students, Hardik Pant of Pushpa Sadan stood first, Satwikman Tuladhar of Nisharga Batika stood second and Prasit Khanal stood third.
