Nepal Premier League (NPL) team Lumbini Lions on Wednesday appointed Bhavna Ghimire as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ghimire was also the CEO of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN).
The Lions expect that his appointment will give a clearer direction to Lumbini Lions' strategic planning, institutional management and long-term goals. The team is confident that Ghimire, who has been working as a consultant in International Cricket Council (ICC) competitions after leaving CAN, will strengthen the management of the Lions.
Lions President Ishwar Jisi said Ghimire's experience, leadership ability and dedication to cricket will take Lumbini Lions to new heights. Lions under the leadership of national team captain Rohit Paudel did not make much impact in the first season of NPL. The team was at the bottom of the points table.
