The Ministry of Youth and Sports in conjunction with the National Sports Council (Rakhep) held an interaction program with the officials of the National Sports Association/Confederation on Wednesday.
In a program held at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato, Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary said that Nepal's sports are on the path of qualitative improvement. He assured that under Mission-2026, initiatives will be taken to increase the facilities of the players who are in training for the national team preparation. He said that in addition to promoting sports in collaboration with the private sector, emphasis should be placed on good governance, transparency and strengthening.
Subaschandra Sivakoti, joint secretary of the Ministry of Sports, presented a working paper on legal, administrative, economic and various aspects. Sanuraja KC, the administrative officer of Rakhep Sports Development Department, submitted a working paper on the financial resources of the National Sports Association, support received from international associations/confederations, sponsorship, ticket sales, training fees, player grading and license details, physical structure and budget. Rakhep, said that very important suggestions were received from the participants in the program. Ministry Secretary Dr. Hariprasad Lamsal said that such a program is necessary from time to time. In the one-day program, the participants raised their voices on ten national sports, awards for athletes, staff positions, sports materials, international exposure, audits, submissions, training facilities, budgets, sports materials, etc.
