Kathmandu Gorkhaz has signed an agreement with World Link as the main sponsor for the upcoming season of Nepal Premier League (NPL). According to Kathmandu Gorkhaz, which is owned by Kathmandu Sports Development Venture, the team will now play in the NPL with the World Link logo on the front.
Kathmandu Gorkhaz Executive Director Anubhav Swaran Sirohia and World Link Executive Director Manoj Agarwal signed the agreement on Monday. The financial part of the agreement has not been disclosed. Sirohia, Executive Director of Kathmandu Gorkhaz, said that it is more than financial to connect a big organization like World Link with NPL and Nepali Cricket.
"Kathmandu Gorkhaz is preparing for NPL at a fast pace, as the date of the competition is approaching, we are getting connected with big companies," Sirohia said, "World Link is a big company in the Nepali market, we are confident that its scope will be wider after joining NPL through Kathmandu Gorkhaz." With World Link, we are also moving towards a big goal.
Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) is preparing for the second season of NPL to be held in November-December. Also, the team has signed an agreement with Royal Tulip Hotel Kathmandu as a hospitality partner.
World Link Executive Director Manoj Agarwal said that no corporate house can stay out of Nepali cricket in the present situation. "The popularity of Nepali cricket is increasing day by day, people of all age groups are interested in it," Agarwal said, "that's why we wanted to be associated with Nepali cricket, so we want to thank Kathmandu Gurkhaz on this occasion."
