China's Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau has handed over sports equipment and health testing equipment to the National Sports Council (Rakhep).
Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy, Wang Xin, handed over the materials to Rakhep Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising during a program held at the International Sports Complex on Tuesday. 34 different types of materials worth about 85 lakh rupees have been handed over. Dhruv Acharya, vice president of
Rakhep, thanked the Chinese government for the support and expressed his belief that the materials will help in the training of the players. Member-Secretary Ghising said that good relations have been established between Nepal and China in many fields and expressed the hope that the cooperation will continue every year.
Member-Secretary stated that since the 20th Asian Games are only 13 months away, this time is complicated and emphasized that training should be carried forward with determination. He said that in the next two weeks, the physical and sporting condition of the players who are preparing for the national team under Mission-2026 will be tested and then the training will be carried forward in coordination with the sports association.
Deputy Chief of the Mission Wang reminded that the cooperation will help the development of Nepali sports, even if it is small, and that they have supported in the sports sector in the past as well. Ramcharitra Mehta, joint secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, said that the Chinese government has been helping in the past. Under
mission-2026, the presence materials of the players, coaches and others who are preparing for the national team were handed over.
