For the first time in Nepali volleyball, there will be an auction of players for the franchise women's volleyball league. The second edition of Vatsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League (EWVL) will be auctioned on July 2.
This will be a moment of pride in Nepali women's volleyball, according to the league organizer Infinity Dreams. Franchise teams will have the opportunity to buy new talent and emerging players from national star players to their team through live chat. The organizers believe that this process will be transparent, competitive and completely based on talent.
"This is not only an auction but a historic journey for Nepali women's volleyball," the organizer said, "The players are now entering the professional structure, where their skills, market value and identity will get institutional recognition."
The auction will be held in Kathmandu. Organizers believe that women's volleyball will enter a new era. Infinity Dreams CEO Snevi Chapagain said that this auction is seen as an important turning point in the professional journey of Nepali women's volleyball. She said, 'This will be a historic event in Nepali volleyball history.'
The second edition of the league, which will be held from August 20, will be attended by Gandaki Thunders, Chitwan Shakti, Lalitpur Queens, Kadmadon Spikers and Madhesh United along with former winners Karnali Yashwij. The title of the first edition was won by Karnali Yashvij.
