The Lumbini state government honored two players and one coach who returned after winning the ACC Men's U-16 Eastern Zone Cup with cash.
Lumbini Pradesh Sports Council honored the player with Rs 100,000 and coach Rs 50,000.
Through a program organized in Rapti Valley (Deukhuri) on Thursday, the Member Secretary of Provincial Sports Council Tirandaz Gautam honored Lamhi Municipality-5, Shubham Khanal resident of Dang, Raunak Srivastava resident of Krishnanagar Kapilvastu and coach Puran Singh Khatri resident of Ghorahi sub-metropolitan municipality with cash, certificates and food.
Players Khanal and Srivastava have received Rs 1 lakh each and coach Khatri has received Rs 50,000. Central member of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) and Dang district president Pradeep Mazgaian, Secretary of Nepal Cricket Association Lumbini Province Kailash Roka Magar and others were present in the honor program.
Member Secretary Gautam said that the honor program was organized for the development of the sports field and to add enthusiasm to the players. He said, ``For the development of the sports field, it is necessary to increase enthusiasm among the players. The state government is extending its hand of support to all the sports fields with an equal approach. The state government is also increasing its role in the development of the sports field.''
