Women's world number one Aryana Sabalenka was stunned in the semi-finals of Wimbledon tennis. She lost to 13th-ranked American Amanda Anisimova on Thursday.
The American player has reached the Wimbledon finals for the first time by achieving a thrilling victory of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
Anisimova, who performed brilliantly in the semi-finals played on the center court amid hot temperatures, thwarted Sabalenka's goal of lifting the first Wimbledon trophy.
23-year-old Anisimova will compete against the winner between Poland's eighth-ranked Iga Swatek or 35-year-old Swiss player Belinda Bencic in Saturday's final.
