World number one Aryna Sabalenka, who is nearing the exit list from Wimbledon, put on a bold display on Tuesday. She reached the semi-finals with a quick result over Germany's Laura Siegemund. She won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Sabalenka broke twice in the final set on Center Court and was just two games away from the tournament. But she advanced to the Wimbledon title for the first time by winning a drama-filled match of 2 hours and 54 minutes.

This is the third year the 27-year-old has reached the semi-finals at the All England Club. In 2021 and 2023, Sabalenka was also eliminated from this stage. Sabalenka, who won the US Open last year, lost in the finals of the Australian and French Open this year. With Tuesday's performance, she moved closer to her fourth consecutive Grand Slam final.

Top-seeded Sabalenka of Belarus will play the winner of American No. 13 Amanda Anisimova and Russian world No. 50 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova for a place in the final. After two weeks of shocking results, only Sabalenka remains among the top six women's players. All others are out of the competition.

Three Grand Slam champion Sabalenka was also added to this list. Sigmund, ranked 14th in the world, gave her a tough challenge and brought herself close. The 37-year-old Sigemond had already eliminated Australian Open champion Madison Keys in the third round.

"That was a real test, now I need some time to calm down and recover," Sabalenka said, "She kept challenging me. After the first set, I checked my box and decided to leave this beautiful place. Sigmund has been playing great in this tournament, even today. That's why I am very happy with the match and the win.'

Men's Taylor Fritz has reached the semi-finals. Fritz defeated Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7/4) in a match where the technology system was once again contested.

Swedish umpire Louis Azemar Engel stopped the game at one point in the first game of the fourth set. Even though Fritz's forehand was inside the baseline, he misjudged it as a 'fault'. The organizer of the competition apologized and changed the system to avoid further disputes.

America's fifth-ranked Fritz had to fight hard to defeat Russia's 17th-ranked Khachanov. Fritz, who lost in the US Open final last year, will play the winner of defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and Britain's Cameron Norrie.
