Farewell to the Nepali team playing SAFF U-20

The Nepali U-20 Women's National Football Team is going to play the SAFF U-20 Championship in Bangladesh.

The Nepali U-20 team going to Dhaka was bid farewell on Tuesday at the ANFA headquarters in Satdobato. In the championship to be held from July 11 to 22, along with Nepal, only hosts Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka will participate. The top team of the

double round robin championship will become the champion. Birsna Chaudhary captained the team for the championship.

Nepal, which is aiming to win the title for the first time, will start the championship by playing against Bhutan on July 11. The home team will face Bangladesh on July 13 and Sri Lanka on July 15. In the next round, they are scheduled to play against Sri Lanka on July 17, Bhutan on July 19 and Bangladesh on July 21.

Birsna of Nepal Police Club said that the team will perform well as the team is balanced. Yam Gurung, the head coach of the team, clarified that Nepal's target is the title.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) president Pankajvikram Nemwang, general secretary Kiran Rai and others bid farewell to the team. The assistant coaches of the

team are Sandesh Shrestha and Kiran Karki, Meen Bahadur Basnet as the goalkeeper coach and Indu Duwal as the team manager.

Nepali team players including Birsna Chaudhary (captain) Leela Joshi, Karuna Budhathoki, Anisha Rai, Asmita Gurung, Varsha Oli, Ganga Rokaya, Jhuma Vishwakarma, Kavita Gurung, Kusum Khatiwada, Manisha Sen, Maya Maske, Meena Deuba, Poornima Rai, Samiksha Magar, Sarita Kumari Nath, Semihangma Limbu, Senu Periyar, Simran Rai, They are Sita Rokaya, Sujata Tamang, Sukriya Mia and Sushila KC.
