DGR Sports and Event Management Pvt Ltd is going to organize Nepal Street Premier League, the biggest T-10 cricket tournament in Nepal.
In a press conference held in the capital on Monday, NSPL president Gyanu Singh informed about the competition. With the slogan 'From Street to Stadium', the competition will be held from October 15 to 24 at the Lower Mulpani Maidan in Kathmandu. Seven teams will participate in the competition. There will be a total of 24 matches in the tournament. The competition will be held on the basis of single round robin league. The top four teams in the league will advance to the semi-finals. To participate in the
competition, a team must be purchased and the players will be auctioned. The winner of the tournament will get Rs 21 lakh and the runner-up team will get Rs 11 lakh. President Singh said that this league will develop grassroots cricket by building a strong and inclusive platform for emerging talent. The
competition aims to further support the development of cricket in Nepal. NSPL aims to give budding cricketers from all over the country an early opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level.
NSPL has announced actor Nikhil Upreti as its brand ambassador. Upreti, who has contributed to the Nepali film industry for a long time, said that he was very happy and proud to be associated with NSPL. He is of the opinion that NSPL will promote the entire game of cricket.
