Arsenal have announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad on Sunday. His transfer fee is said to be 75 million dollars. Before this, Liverpool and Real Madrid were also showing willingness to take Jubimendi, who won the Euro 2024 title from Spain.

"This is a very big moment for my playing life," said defensive midfielder Zubimendi. It is reported that he has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal. Arsenal have taken Zubimendi for more than Real Sociedad's asking price, according to Athletic. According to which Arsenal will pay his transfer fee in different installments.

This is the moment I was waiting for, the moment I wanted to fulfill. It is only when you set foot here that you realize how big a club this is. The reason I choose Arsenal is because the way they play suits my game. They too have shown their potential recently. Good results are yet to come.

26-year-old Zubimendi is a player who has come up from Sociedad's academy and has played 236 matches for this club. He has also played 19 times for the Spanish national team. Manager Mikel Arteta believes Zubimendi will make a big impact in Arsenal's midfield now that Thomas Partey and Jorginho have left the club.

After the arrival of Jubimendi, Arsenal's record signing Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard will be able to play more aggressively. He is the second player to join Arsenal next season. The team has already brought goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
