Chabi Kharel, who became a national volleyball player from Gulmi, has been honored. Former volleyball player Kharel was honored by the District Volleyball Association on Monday on the occasion of World Volleyball Day.
Narayan Acharya, General Secretary of the Association informed that Agraj was honored for his contribution through volleyball as a national volleyball player from 2033 to 2037.
General Secretary Acharya said that the national sport of volleyball has been actively promoted in the district and that it has been able to make a big one in Lumbini province. After being honored, Kharel said that he was very happy with the interest towards the old players.
``Volleyball is a popular game, the country has made it a national game,'' he said.
"We are very happy to honor the veteran player," he said, "National player Kharel is a source of inspiration for us."
