Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-4 has put badminton court and training center into operation at New Road Namaste Toll. Badminton court and training center has been completed and put into operation at a cost of around 3 million.

City chief Prashant Bista inaugurated the badminton court and training center on Saturday. City chief Bista said that the badminton court and training center put into operation by the ward will be useful and beneficial for the promotion of badminton game and health. Gopal Pun, the ward president of ward number 4, said that this is a project of pride for the ward itself. 

Meanwhile, City Chief Bista, Chief Administrative Officer Ramhari Sharma, Ward President Pun and others gave shields and trophies to the winning players of the ward-level open badminton competition organized by the ward office. The Banke District Badminton Association assisted in the management of the competition.  In the

competition, Lokesh Chaudhary won the first place, Aryan Rana won the second place, Abhay Rajvanshi and Sanskar KC won the third place. Similarly, the award for the best emerging player has been given to Divas Malla and Suyog Shrestha.

This is the second badminton court and training center put into operation by the local government. Earlier, a badminton court and a training center have been constructed and put into operation in Ward No. 1 Water Park.
