The Nepal Hockey Association is going to hold the National Women's Five 'A' Side Hockey Tournament for the first time.
A five-a-side indoor hockey tournament is going to be held for the first time in Nepal. Indoor hockey will be held on Saturday at Futsal at Midvalley College, Thimis, Bhaktapur. Suvarna Shrestha, the general secretary of the association, informed that 5 teams will compete in the competition, namely Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Sudurpaschim and Army Club. The winner of the competition will get a prize of Rs 50,000 and the runner-up will get Rs 25,000.
Group 'A' has Koshi, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim and 'B' has Army, Gandaki and Madhesh. The competition will be played on the basis of Leaguecom Knockout. The best player will get a trophy. In the category best, goalkeeper, defender, highest scorer and emerging player will also get a trophy.
