9-wicket victory over Malaysia in half-century of revision, Nepal in the final

The Nepali youth cricket team has reached the finals of the ACC U-16 Eastzone Cup cricket tournament held in Malaysia. The final was secured by defeating Malaysia by 9 wickets with the excellent half-century of opener Pramishand Yadav.

Batting first, Nepal completed the target of 91 runs given by Malaysia losing only 1 wicket in 11.4 overs. For Nepal, the opener Pradhan Yadav scored a brilliant half-century. He faced 35 balls and scored 59 unbeaten runs with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. 

Shivansh Bajgai, who came at number three, also scored 23 unbeaten runs by hitting five fours. Before that, opener Prashiddha Jaishi was out for only two runs while playing 16 balls.  Nagishwaran Sathkumaran took 1 wicket for Malaysia in

bowling. Before that, Malaysia lost the toss and scored only 90 runs in 43.1 overs.

Nepal reached the semi-finals by becoming the winner of group 'A'. Malaysia became the runner-up from Group B and confirmed the clash with Nepal in the semi-finals.

Muhammad Danis Adleyan scored the highest 38 runs for Malaysia. He faced 71 balls and hit four fours and one six. Similarly, apart from Deej Patro scoring 10 runs, other batsmen did not score double digit runs.

Abhay Yadav took the most four wickets for Nepal. He spent 15 runs in 10 overs. Similarly, Shubham Khanal took 3 wickets at the cost of 12 runs in 10 overs. Captain Bipinprashad Sharma and Sachin Bhatt took one wicket each. Another semi-final match continues between Hong Kong and Singapore.
