Raunak Srivastava holds the record for the highest individual score in Nepal's age group cricket history.
Nepal's Raunak, who made a name for himself with excellent batting in the domestic competition, On Tuesday, ACC U-16 created a sensation in the Eastzone Cup with another excellent batting performance.
Raunak, who turned 15 years and 8 months from Krishnanagar Municipality-1 Madha, scored 168 runs against Bhutan on Tuesday with explosive batting in the international age group match. He hit 5 sixes and 16 fours off 132 balls and made a huge score. This is the highest personal score scored by a Nepali player in any level international game.
The previous highest score record was held by Arjun Kumal. He scored 142 against Saudi Arabia in ACC U-19 Premier Cup in 2023.
Raunak had previously made a record by scoring a double century in the domestic TB Shah Memorial U-16 national cricket held in the third week of June in Surkhet. Raunak scored 217 runs against Gandaki at Birendranagar Cricket Ground in Surkhet.
At that time he had a rare record of hitting 16 fours and 16 sixes in 117 balls. This is Nepal's first domestic cricket double century and highest individual run. His father Ashok Srivastava said that he was very happy that his son went abroad and made Nepal's name high.
Raunak was selected for the international level through the district and state in the coordination of national team all-rounder Basir Ahmed.
