New leadership has been selected in Nepal Sports Journalist Forum, Rupandehi.
Dinesh Pandey, president of Nepal Journalist Federation, said that the 11-member district committee was unanimously selected under the chairmanship of Suman Adhikari by the ex-players and coaches honoring and district meeting organized on the occasion of the International Sports Journalists' Day held in Butwal on Wednesday. Yamlal Bhusal is the vice president of the
committee, Swastik Shrestha is the secretary, Ravi Rana is the treasurer, Sanju Paudel is the joint secretary. Prakash Neupane, Manoj Thapa, Vikas Parajuli, Indra Khatri, Radheshyam Vick and Krishna Bhandari have been elected as members of the committee. In the
program, the platform has honored Shakti Gauchan, former national cricket player and under-19 team coach and women's volleyball coach Arjun Ghimire, who have contributed to the field of sports. During a ceremony of the
program, Motikala Gurung, the first goalkeeper of the Nepali women's national football team, inaugurated the event and said that the journalists' forum formed in Rupandehi should create interest in the sport by publishing news to promote the sports sector. She said that sports should be played as a means of physical and mental health as the conditions of the sports field are not the same as in the past.
