Nepali Uma Kungfu players Bhupendra Gurung and Suden Gurung have won medals. Bhupendra won 3 golds and Sudan won silver in the competition held in Cheltenham, UK.

Bhupendra won gold by scoring 26.7 points in Traditional Chinese Fums, 27 in Traditional Weapons and 26.8 in Traditional Creative Fums.

According to Sanjit Kumar Rai, President of Nepal Uma Kung Fu Association, Suden won silver in Traditional Chinese Fums. He scored 26.1. This is Sudan's first international participation. President Rai said that 415 players from Germany, Spain, Wales, France, India, Switzerland, Netherlands, Costa Rica, Estonia participated in the competition. Bhupendra has also won medals in various international competitions.
