Vikesh Ghimire and Ranju Shah have won the running competition organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 at Baluwatar on Saturday. They were successful in the 5 km open side.

Vikesh won the men's side with a time of 21 minutes and 29 seconds. Avinash Rai was second with 21 minutes 36 seconds and Amrit Gurung was third with 22 minutes 11 seconds.

Ranju won the women's race in 35 minutes and 56 seconds. Anushree Pradhanang won the second place with a time of 36 minutes 23 seconds and Manju Thapa won the third place with a time of 39 minutes 35 seconds. In the

student category (3 km), Rajesh Shahi, Rahul Tiruwa and Suman Tamang came first, second and third in the female category and Anita Budhamgar, Mahima Rai and Trinisha Acharya respectively.

Shivji Shrestha was first, Milan Dhakal was second and Sudhanshu KC was third in men's 3 km distance towards Vetran. Shanta Dhakal stood first, Lakshmi Lamsal second and Tila Khanal third.

According to Dinesh Maharjan, the ward president of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, more than 300 participants participated in the race organized for the third time. He said that the running competition, which was started to keep the residents of the ward healthy, is going well every year.
