In the 10 km open 'road race' held for the first time in Ghorahi, the players of the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club won first place in both men and women.
On Saturday morning in Ghorahi organized by Provincial Sports Council Lumbini Sanjay Shrestha of Tribhuvan Army Club and Nisha Saraki of Army won the first place in the 'Lumbini National Open Men-Women 10 km Road Race Competition'. Shrestha covered the distance in 31 minutes 30 seconds and Sarki in 37 minutes 40 seconds.
Similarly, for men, Narendra Rawat of Army finished second in 31 minutes 39 seconds, Nageshwar Ahir of Nepal Police finished third in 31 minutes 45 seconds, Vinod Rokaya of Army finished fourth in 31 minutes 51 seconds and Rupesh Karki of APF finished fifth in 31 minutes 55 seconds.
Similarly, Army's Sushil Kumar Shahi finished sixth, Army's Karan Rawal finished seventh, Kapilvastu's Ajay Pandey Chhetri finished eighth, Salyan's Babin Yogi finished ninth and Rolpa's Jharman Pun finished tenth. In the women's
