Nepali athletes have won 2 gold and 1 silver medals in the International Hapkido Championship organized in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with Kyrgyzstan Hapkido Federation and Global Hapkido Association.

On June 24th and 25th, Sameer Gurung in the men's 55-59 kg weight group and Rajendra Tamang in the weight group above 60 kg won gold medals, according to Kali Bahadur Gharti, president of the Nepal Hapkido Martial Arts Association. Saroj Gurung won silver in men's 51-55 kg category.

President Magar has said that this historic victory proves the ability of Nepali hapkido players on the international stage.
