Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Seattle Sounders 2-0 in the Club World Cup 2025 on Tuesday with the help of goals from Khwicha Kvartskheliya and Acharaf Hakimi.

With this, the European champion reached the last 16 by winning Group B based on goal difference.

After being defeated by Botafogo in the previous match, PSG had to win this match. In the next match of this group, Botafogo was defeated by Atletico Madrid 1-0. But this victory was not enough for Atlético to advance. Brazilian club Botafogo has also reached the knockout stage after being in second place in the

group. All three teams of PSG, Botafogo and Atlético remained on the same 6 points. Atlético finished third on goal difference and luck didn't favor them. Antonio Griezmann scored the only goal for the Spanish club.
