Chitwan Cricket Club has won the title of Grace Cup under the Victoria Nepali League-2 held in Melbourne, Australia. Chitwan won the title by defeating Far West Hunters Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the final.

 

10 different teams participated in the tournament organized by Naples Cricket Association of Victoria. 39 matches were completed in different stages under the competition. In the final, Chitwan, who chose to bowl first, gave Hunters a target of 121 runs, losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Chitwan completed the target by losing only 3 wickets in 17.1 overs. Chitwan, who became the winner of the

competition, received 4,500 dollars in cash along with a trophy, while the runner-up Hunters received 2,700 dollars in cash prize. In the

competition, Rajesh Pulami Magar has been declared as 'Best Batsman of the Tournament', Dipesh Bisht as 'Best Bowler' and Kiran Pandey as 'Best Wicketkeeper'. They each received a prize of 200 dollars.

The main objective of the tournament held under the main sponsorship of Grace International is to expose the cricket talent in Victoria and create more opportunities, said Bikas Sapkota, the president of the organizing organization. He mentioned that in the context of the increasing number of Nepalis, such competitions not only give opportunities to new talent but also help in strengthening mutual brotherhood and harmony.
