The semi-finals of the NECOS National Women's Volleyball Tournament in Hetaunda have been completed.
Departmental team Armed Police and Nepal Police Club are going to meet in the final four of the ongoing competition at Huprachaur located in Hetaunda-4. Gandaki Pradesh and New Diamond Club will compete in the second semi-final. Police as the winner from group 'A' and Gandaki as the runner-up entered the knockout stage . APF was forced to advance as a runner-up after becoming the diamond winner from group 'B'. Diamond defeated Madhesh Pradesh in straight sets in the
competition on Monday. Diamond defeated Madhesh by 25-6, 25-18 and 25-8. Madhesh could not win any match in the tournament. Diamond is seen as a contender for the title. His form has been very strong in the competition. After defeating the strong team APF in the opening match, Diamond is seen as a contender for the title.
In the final match of the league stage, Police defeated Gandaki with the scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-19. Gandaki's performance looked poor in front of a police force full of experienced players . The players said that because Gandaki is building the team to bring back his old self, the players are a little weak. Gandaki got only one win in the league stage . Both the semi-final matches of the
competition will be held on Tuesday. The winner of the competition of 6 teams will win 5 lakhs, the runner-up will get 3 lakhs, the third will get 1 lakh and the fourth team will win a trophy with 51 thousand rupees .
