Saim Intercollegiate Futsal from Wednesday

28 student teams are going to participate in Hisense Nepal First Saim Intercollegiate Seven A Side Futsal Tournament.

Ashokraj Pandey, Principal of Sayam College, said that the preparations for the competition, which will begin on Wednesday, have been completed. He said that the participation of 28 teams in the first edition is certain.  

participating teams will be divided into 8 groups and will be played on a league-com knockout basis. Hisense is the main sponsor of the competition, where teams from undergraduate level semester colleges will participate. The

winner will receive a prize of Rs 90,000, second runner-up Rs 40,000 and third runner-up Rs 20,000. The best player will get 5,000 and the best in the category will get 3,000 gift vouchers. The best coach will get a gift voucher along with a trophy. Vishal Shrestha, Vice Principal of Sayam, said that it will cost about 550,000 to organize the

competition. The three-day tournament will be played at the Royal Nepal Futsal Stadium in Bhaktapur.

Sayam, which has successfully organized the fifth edition of the Saim Premier League Intra College Cricket, said that for the first time, Saim is going to play futsal, according to Dashrath Shahi, the tournament coordinator.
