Kshitij Arun Shrestha, one of the founders of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF), has passed away.

He was ill for a long time and passed away on Sunday night during treatment at Patan Hospital. His mortal remains were cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanklal Ghising, Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and other sportspersons reached Aryaghat and expressed their condolences.

He worked in many media as a photojournalist and was active in sports for a long time. When the platform was established in the year 2052, Kshitij Arun was one of the 11 founders. The forum issued a condolence statement on Monday and expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, stating that the demise of the founder and guiding personality of the forum has caused an irreparable loss to Nepali sports journalism.

Kshitij Arun was 55 years old, born in the slopes of Kathmandu. He is the founder of Nepal Olympic Museum. He established Nepal Data and Research Center and published various books on sports. Lately, he was the secretary of Nepal Stick Sports Association and managing director of Business Data Nepal Pvt. Ltd. He has a wife and a daughter.
