The organizer Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 26 has won 3 golds in Kyokushin Karate (IKU) as part of Kathmandu district wide sports.
Kyokushin Budo and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 12 won 1-1 gold in the men's 5-event competition.
Balkrishna Budha in the men's 25 kg category, Rikhidhan Rai in the 45 kg category and Dhan Bahadur Bik in the open weight group won gold for the organizers of the tournament held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchour. Balkrishna defeated Emanal Magar of his own ward, Rikhidhan also defeated Kailash Rana Magar of his own ward and Dhan Bahadur defeated Gobind Basyal of Kamanpa 25.
In men's 35 kg, Sirjan Sunuwar of Kyokushin Budo defeated Samar Bahadur Damai of Kathmandu Metropolitan City 12 and in 55 kg, Susan Tamang of Kathmandu Metropolitan City 12 defeated Ashutosh Jaiswal of her own ward. The top four players received cash prizes of 10,000, 8,000, 6,000 and 5,000 respectively.
Similarly, Tarkeshwar municipality has won the men's futsal title. Tarkeshwar defeated Ward 5 in a tie breaker by 3-2 goals at Lainchour ground. The scheduled time ended in a 1-1 draw. Tarkeshwar got 150,000 and Ward 5 got 75,000. In the
competition, Aklesh Karki of Ward 5 was declared the best player and Nitesh Maharjan of Ward 5 was declared the best goalkeeper. Neerajan Malla of Ward 26 was the top scorer. All three got 10,000 prizes. The
winner was awarded by Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Krishnahari Maharjan, Mayor of Tarkeshwar Municipality and Srijana Burlakoti, Deputy Mayor.
