Times Basketball Club lifted the Himalayan Java Basketball League (HJBL) trophy on Saturday.

Times defeated Goldengate Basketball Club in the finals with a score of 80-72 and became champions. The Times took the lead from the start in the match at the Army's physical training and sports center in Lagankhel. The Times led 20-8 in the first quarter and fell behind in the second quarter. Goldengate won the second quarter 19-14. But the Times led 34-27 at halftime.

Times led 26-21 in that quarter and was 60-48 before the last quarter. Goldengate took control in the last quarter. Goldengate added 24 scores to the Times' tally of just 20. But Times overall became champions by 8 points difference.

Champion Times got 2 lakh and runner-up Goldengate got 1 lakh, Hounds Academy got 50 thousand rupees. Times and Goldengate both defeated each other in the league stage. The top two of these two leagues reached the finals.

In the third place match, Hounds defeated Kirtipur Basketball Club with a score of 80-75. In the final, Sadish Pradhan was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Times. Vijay Burja of Hounds was selected as the best player of the tournament.

Nepal Basketball Association (NEBA) organized under the sponsorship of Himalayan Java, 6 teams participated in the weekend league. It was played on a double round robin basis.
