Patrick de Wilde, the head coach of the Nepali national women's team, has selected a 23-member national team to play the ACC Asian Cup qualifiers on Friday.
Nepal will face Laos, Sri Lanka and the home team Uzbekistan in the Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in Tashkent. Nepal, which is in Group F, will play its first match against Laos on June 29.
The winner of that group will play in the Asia Cup in Australia. The declared team's goalkeepers are Angela Tumbapo Subba, Usha Nath and Anjana Ranamargar. The defenders include Geeta Rana, Nisha Thokar, Samiksha Ghimire, Manmaya Damai, Pratishka Chaudhary, Vimala Vick, Pooja Rana and Amrit Jaisi.
Midfielders include Vimala Chaudhary, Anita Basnet, Renuka Nagarkote, Preeti Rai, Saru Limbu, Savita Ranamar and Saraswati Hamal. The forwards are Savitra Bhandari, Rashmikumari Ghising, Chandra Bhandari, Anita KC and Rekha Paudel.
