The third MBAN Sports Meet has started from Friday under the organization of Nepal Merchant Bankers Association, the umbrella organization of merchant bankers.
Futsal, Badminton and Table Tennis competitions have started at Dhyanthari Sports Center in Hadigaon. According to
coordinator Dayakrishna Ghimire, Pradipraj Khanal of Global IME Capital won the men's table tennis.
He won 15,000 by defeating Paranjay Nepal of NIMB Capital.
Kalpana Pradhan of Siddharth Capital defeated Bina Adhikari of Global IME in the women's category. The winner got 15 and the runner-up officer got 10,000.
Parag Bishta of NIMB won the title for table tennis veterans. He defeated Anup Shakya of Kumari Capital.
CIT's Purushottam and Anil in men's doubles badminton, Prabhu Capital's Prabhu and Pooja in women's doubles.
Ashok and Tulsi from Garima Capital won the title in veteran doubles.
The aim of the sports meet is to bring the employees working in merchant bankers together and get to know each other through sports and to make everyone healthy, said Ramendra Rayamazhi, president of the association.
22 out of 26 bankers affiliated to the association have participated in the competition. Men and women are competing in futsal . 15 men's and 8 women's teams have participated.
Men's futsal winner will receive 80,000 and runner-up will receive 40,000.
For women, the winner will receive 50,000 and the runner-up will receive 25,000. An MBAN sports meet committee of 5 members from various merchant banks has been formed to conduct the
competition.
