Nepal has secured the fifth position in the Billie Jean King Cup Tennis held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday. In the playoffs, Nepal defeated Tajikistan 2-1 and finished fifth, according to team official Ajay Bisht. Tajikistan finished sixth.

Group 3. Sri Lanka was first, Turkmenistan second, Myanmar third, Pakistan fourth and Qatar seventh. Sri Lanka got an opportunity to compete in Group 2. There is a provision that the first nation will reach Group 2.
