Organizers Suraj Shrestha of Ward 26 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Sushil Tamang of Gongbu have reached the men's under 28 kg taekwondo finals as part of Kathmandu district wide sports on Thursday.

Ankitman Gurung of Kamanpa ward 17 and Ravi Thing of the organizer and Swaroopraj Pandey of Tarkeshwar under 26 kg and Pradeep Budhathoki of the organizer have reached the final at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchour.

Men's under 35 kg Prajjwal Paudel of Swayambhu and Ayu Ray of Tarkeshwar and Utsav Lohani of Tarkeshwar under 38 kg and Tapendra Bista of Ward 11 managed to reach the finals. Women under 24kg Alia Khatun and Prasna Joshi of Kathmandu Metropolis, under 27kg Lisa Tamang of Ward 17 and Akanksha Pandey of Lainchour, under 31kg Kritika Deula of Gongbuki and Ritika Shahi of the organizer and under 33kg Samiksha Tamang of Ward 16 and Ranisha Gautam of Ward 11 have reached the finals.

women Shardamaya Bamjan of Lainchour under 46 kg and Nirgani Khadka of Ward 11, Susandhya Khadka of Tukhya under 36 kg and Smarika Shahi of the organizer, Panna Bik of Matatirtha under 39 kg and Sriyukta Lama of Kamanpa Ward 11 and Kritika Thapamar of Tarkeshwar under 42 kg and Punam Khatri of the organizer reached the finals. In the

competition, 259 players are competing in the men's/women's 10-10 competition. Taekwondo coordinator Gaurav Rajak said that on the first day of the 20 competitions, the final equations of 5 weight groups for men and 8 for women have been prepared.
