Surya Nepal Premier Golf: Amateur Rahul and Pro Subhas took the lead

Amateur golfer Rahul Vishwakarma and pro golfer Subas Tamang have taken joint lead on the second day of Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship.

They scored an overall score of 10 under 134 to beat Nepal's number one amateur golfer Sadabhav Acharya by 2 strokes. Rahul shot a 7-under 65 while Subhas scored a 6-under 66. Sadbhav scored a day-best 8-under 64. With an overall score of 8 under 136, he has risen to third place.

Neeraj Tamang is fourth overall with 7 under 137. He finished with a 5-under 67 on Tuesday. Nimdorji Tamang, an amateur player from Bhutan, finished fifth overall with a score of 6 under 138. He shot a 3-under 69 on Tuesday. Amateur golfer Wangchen Dhondup finished sixth with a score of 4-under 68 and an overall score of 5-under 139.

Dinesh Prajapati and Bhuvan Nagarkoti jointly finished seventh with a score of 3 under 141 . Dinesh finished with a 3-under 69 and Bhuvan with an even-par 72. Krishnaman Rajabahak and Ravi Khadka, who took the lead the previous day, finished joint ninth with an overall score of 2 under 142. Krishnaman finished the day with a 3-under 69 and Ravi 3-over 75.

Rahul played the front nine bogey-free on Tuesday. He birdied the first, second, sixth and ninth holes and played 4 under 32 for the first 9 holes. He then missed a shot on the 11th hole. But birdies on the 10th, 12th, 17th and 18th holes finished the back nine at 3-under 33. Suwas shot 3-under 33 on both the front nine and the back nine. He birdied the first, third, sixth, seventh and ninth holes but missed a shot on the fifth and eighth holes. After this, while playing the bogey-free back nine, he made three consecutive birdies in the 10th to 12th holes and saved par in the remaining 6 holes .

Sadbhav scored an impressive 7 under 29 on the front nine. While playing the bogey-free front nine, he got four consecutive birdies in the first, third, fourth and sixth to ninth holes. After saving shots on the 11th and 12th holes, he missed a shot on the par-4 18th hole. He finished the back nine in 1-under 35 .

At the end of 36 holes, 22 professional and 6 amateur golfers who scored 6 over 150 have made the cut. Sanjay Lama, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Shukra Bahadur Rai, Deepak Magar, Bishnu Prasad Sharma, Toran Vikram Shahi, Jairam Shrestha, Bhuvankumar Rokka, Pradeep Kumar Lama, Rame Magar, Ramesh Adhikari, Tank Bahadur Karki, Ram Krishna Shrestha, Basantraj Gurung, Shivram Paudel and Balabhadra Rai made the cut . Amateur golfers Tasi Tshiring and Padmahang Limbu have also made the cut.

The winner will win 3 lakh with the title, the second will win 1 lakh 85 thousand, the third will win 1 lakh 25 thousand, the fourth will win 1 lakh 5 thousand and the fifth will win 92 thousand.
