Fast bowler Nandan Yadav is going to miss all the remaining matches of the tri-national Twenty20 series. He was injured when he took control of the throw ball while he was bowling in the last over of the match against the Netherlands on Monday at the Tetwood Cricket Ground in Glasgow, Scotland.
In the second last ball of the Netherlands innings, he suffered an injury on his right big toe . Due to which he could not throw the last ball . Karan KC completed the Nepali bowling innings by throwing the last ball.
While injured, Nandan scored 12 unbeaten runs with 2 fours in the batting at the decisive moment and brought Nepal equal with the score of the Netherlands. When Nepal needed 5 runs for victory in the last ball, after Nandan hit a four, the score was tied and reached the super over. Netherlands defeated Nepal in an unbelievable match of three super overs.
Nepal is now playing against Scotland in the second match of the tri-nation Twenty-20 series. But Nandan is seen on the field with a bandage on his finger. Madhav Karmacharya, manager of the Nepali team, said that Nandan could not play any match in the series and there is no possibility of bringing any player from Nepal in his place.
After Nandan made a memorable 'debut' in one-day internationals before coming to Glasgow, Nepal defeated the Netherlands by 16 runs in the last match of the World Cup Cricket League-2 last week. Nandan took 3 wickets in that match.
