Melamchi Municipality and Panchpokhari Cricket Club have won the seventh district level Panchpokhari T-20 cricket tournament jointly organized by Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality and District Cricket Association.
Organizers said that both teams were declared winners after rain affected the final match at Trivi Cricket Ground in the capital Kathmandu on Monday. In the
final, Panchpokhari batted first and scored 133 runs in 17.4 overs. Sarthak Dhital's unbeaten 61 runs. After that, the second innings was not possible due to rain. According to Galbo Samden, coordinator of the
organizing committee, both teams received Rs. 75,000 as prizes. Ashok Paudel of The Mighty Sangachok was adjudged the best batsman, Sonu Devkota of Melamchi was named the best bowler and Rinjin Lama of Melamchi was adjudged the player of the tournament.
