Elina Thing of Kirtipur Municipality and Prasanna Phuyal of Tarkeshwar Municipality reached the finals of Karate women's single kata on Tuesday as part of the Kathmandu district wide sports.

Elina beat Bandana Tamang of Nagarjuna Municipality and Prasanna beat Misty Shrestha of Kathmandu Metropolitan City 26 in the semi-finals on Tuesday at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchour. The first 30,000 and 15,000 prizes will be won.

Women's team Kumute Kamanpa 31, Tarkeshwar and Nagarjuna secured a place in the semi-finals. Kathmandu Metropolitan City 31 will play Tarkeshwar in the semi-finals. The next quarter-final is yet to be played. The winner of the quarterfinal between Gokarneshwar and Kathmandu Metropolitan City 16 will face Nagarjuna in the semi-final.

The first person will win 50,000, the second will win 25,000 and the third will win 10,000 each.  

Tarkeshwar, Ward 23, Ward 16 and Ward 5 have reached the quarterfinals in men's futsal. Tarkeshwar defeated Ward 10 by 3-1 at Lainchour playground. Sunil Thapa and Ravin Chaulagai scored 1-1 goals for the winners. 1 goal was fatal. Ward 23 defeated Ward 1 by 2-1. Vishal Shrestha of Ward 23 scored a goal. The other goal was a suicide. Gaurav Maharjan of Ward 1 scored 1 goal. Ward 16 beat Ward 11 with 2-0 goals. Suvil Shrestha and Ayush Kunwar of Ward 16 scored goals. Ward 5 beat Ward 2 by 2-0. Pushkar Acharya and Rakesh Shrestha scored .
