Nepal has started victoriously in Billie Jean King Cup tennis. On Tuesday, Nepal defeated Myanmar 2-1 in Group B of the tournament in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

In the first singles, Myanmar's Nilar Win defeated Nepal's Shivali Gurung 7-5, 4-6, 6-1. In the other singles, Nepal's Abhilasha Bista defeated Tete Mint in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. In doubles, the pair of Shivali and Abhilasha defeated the pair of Thiri Sion and Niler 7-5, 7-6. Nepal will play against Qatar on Wednesday.
